The Society needs your help in preserving local history. Membership in our society will ensure that with the growth of Washington Township and Hamilton County, the rich history that lies around us will not be forgotten with progress.

Along with the pioneer heritage comes a rich and varied agricultural and religious history. The Underground Railroad was a source of strife at one time between local Quakers and other local religious sects and many a slave was routed through Westfield and on to freedom into Canada. Prohibition was a welcome institution, long overdue in the eyes of many.
