Daubenspeck, Rev. Jon November 16, 2009 Rev. Jon Bruce Daubenspeck 66, Westfield, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born May 4, 1943 in Noblesville, Indiana to Herbert Mace and Deloris May (Unger) Daubenspeck. Rev. Daubenspeck had proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Rev. Transition of wwhs.us

We started our process yesterday to move fully to this website hosted at ning.com to replace our old existing website that was hosted at rootsweb.com. If you aren't familiar with web stuff - you don't care about those internals anyway, but it will enable us to be more interactive with you - the community. More officers and volunteers can post events and text online without one person having to do web development for it. 2009 Underground Railroad conference in Indianapolis

Check out artist display

In today's Star September 4, 2009, there is an article about an art gallery in Broad Ripple that is displaying a leading local artist that specializes in nostalgic images in Hamilton County. Maybe he/she has painted subjects in the Westfield area. Someone should check this out. My Last Blog

Hello everyone, This will be my last blog to you all. I have appreciated this time that I have had with you and working for the historical society. I have learned so much and hope that my work will facilitate others future work for the society and museum. New Museum hours-good through the week of June 8th

Since I, Karen Wood, work during the week, the museum will be open more often this summer. I will post new hours every Monday morning as each week may vary according to my schedule. Here are this week's new hours: The WWHS Museum will be open to the public Monday, 1-5pm, Wednesday, 3-6pm, and Thursday, 3-7pm.
